Damn. Hopefully they replace it with a nice German unit which will have to be serviced every two years, and whose electronics will probably fail this rendering it useless. But at least it won't send shards of metal through my wife's face!

Huh. Didn't know that even the X1 used Takatas. Always thought it was just the E46s.
